Located on the Silver Strand Highway approximately 1-mile from the beach, Breakwater Town Center creates an inviting gateway to Coronado and Imperial Beach. Opened in July 2017, the Center serves as a community meeting place for residents to gather and enjoy the outdoor environment. Beyond the shopping experience, which provides a national grocer and an assortment of specialty food restaurants. It also brings new goods and services to the area. This transformation has created a central community amenity that serves all area residents and has brought new and dynamic energy to the redeveloped area. A Hampton Inn Hotel, completed in July 2020, added a much needed hospitality component to this popular seaside town.
